Ashley Jackson - Instructor
Ashley Jackson, a Maryland native, started dancing at the young age of 3. By age 9, she was dancing competitively and she continued dancing competitively throughout her high school years receiving many awards. In college Ashley pursued a degree in healthcare, however, her love for dance never left her. While in college, she started a non-profit dance program through Salisbury Urban Ministries for underprivileged children in the intercity area of her hometown. The children aged 5-15 would learn ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop through this program. They would perform at many local events and churches. Ashley is very passionate about helping children develop confidence and dance is a wonderful avenue for confidence building. Ashley also loves for her students to simply have fun and allow dance to be an outlet. Ashley also taught ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical for Seaside Dance Academy in Berlin, MD for 6 years where she choreographed competitively.
Ashley currently resides in New Bern with her husband and daughter and works at CarolinaEast Health System as an Infection Preventionist. Ashley started teaching at Carolina Dance Alliance in 2016 and loves using her gifts and talents to teach and develop dancers.
